Title: Key-Repeat Occurs (in Ubuntu 14.10) Distorting Sound

Detailed Description:

In level 14.10 of all Ubuntu Linux variants, key-repeat occurs, distorting the sound.

Cause Of Problem:

A bug was introduced in Linux (Ubuntu level 14.10) of the 'xset' and 'numlockx' utilities, where hitting the num-lock key cancels the action of an 'xset r off' command. A 'numlockx' command also cancels the effect of 'xset r off'.

Work-Around:

Hit the num-lock key twice, and it should stop happening.

Fix Available (in 1-10):

If you installed (or used the non-offline desktop launcher) after November 24th, 2014, the problem should not occur, because code to work-around the problem was added.
